Eight acoustic items that help to quieten down lively interiors

Dezeen Showroom: from lighting and seating with acoustic properties to sound-absorbing panels, the following products are among noise-controlling items recently featured on Dezeen Showroom.

Acoustic items are often required in workplaces as well as residential, education, healthcare and hospitality environments – anywhere in which noise levels can easily become out of control, or where quiet is a priority.

They are made from fibrous materials that absorb sound, such as felt, which is sometimes made using recycled plastic.

Included in the following selection is a system of ceiling panels that can be placed magnetically inside existing grid ceilings by Askia Furniture, floor and pendant lights with felt shades by Abstracta and decorative wall panels by Arturel.

Read on to see a selection of recent acoustic products listed on Dezeen Showroom, developed and manufactured by various internationally renowned studios and brands.
