CRIKX506 mixer tap by Cristina Rubinetterie

Dezeen Showroom: Italian home appliances brand Cristina Rubinetterie has designed a stainless steel kitchen mixer tap characterised by clean lines and "optimal water flow control".

Named CRIKX506, the product is a single-hole kitchen mixer tap – a tap that draws both hot and cold water through a single spout.

Designed by Cristina Design Lab, the research and development arm of Cristina Rubinetterie, the tap measures 502 millimetres in height and is fitted with right-side mechanical mixing.

The team created three brushed stainless steel taps alongside a matte black iteration to offer expanded kitchen design possibilities.

While the stainless steel taps feature a traditionally sloping neck, the matte black tap straightens at the top to provide a sense of "character and contemporary appeal", explained the brand.

"Clean lines and balanced proportions interact with advanced technology that ensures optimal water flow control," said Cristina Rubinetterie.

The brand chose stainless steel for its combination of high performance and recyclability.
